“I just can’t deal with all the racing thoughts going through my head”…“I always feel on edge and can’t seem to relax”…“My spouse and I just can’t seem to get on the same page”…" Balancing work, relationships, & kids is just getting to be too much." If any of these statements sound like you, it’s OK! We all have times in our life when we feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, etc. Sometimes it's easy to “bounce back,” and at other times, we need additional support to feel well again.
My Background and Approach
Throughout my training and professional experience, I have been able to partner with individuals and clients in a variety of settings; online, in private practice, community-based agencies, correctional facilities, and federal programs as well. My counseling style is eclectic, supportive, and relaxed. I also like to utilize humor when appropriate. My goal is to empower you to feel confident in tackling whatever life brings your way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in service to one's community and that every person has inherent value and the ability to enact meaningful change within their lives. Every person is worthy of love, respect, kindness, and honesty. As a minority, hard-of-hearing woman, I support the plight of those most marginalized within our society and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community and our organizations. Fun fact: I am a shameless Harry Potter fan, Go Ravenclaw!
