About My Clients
I am passionate about helping clients achieve their goals, build self confidence, and regain control, with a special focus on high-functioning adults working toward greater happiness and fulfillment. Success in our therapeutic process is achieved through an open, authentic, and collaborative counseling relationship.
My Background and Approach
I am currently the Director of School Counseling and Clinical Training at the University of Minnesota, a position she began in 2013. I train mental health counselors, higher education counselors, and school counselors for the past nine years, and have served in leadership roles as President of the Minnesota School Counselor Association Board as well as VP Post Secondary Institutions. I am a MN Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I am also a Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health approved supervisor for other counselors seeking licensure in Minnesota. I also work as a consultant for several school districts across the metro as an expert in her field. She has extensive experience coordinating services with multiple area resources including other therapists, family physicians, psychiatrists, and schools.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I created Next Adventure Counseling and Consulting in 2022 to provide therapeutic services to individuals and families moving through life’s hurdles toward their next adventure. Whether managing a career move, navigating relationships, processing grief or trauma, or just trying to thrive during a global pandemic, as a client of mine, you will receive strength-based care focused on resiliency and motivation.
