About My Clients

Although I have experience working with a wide variety of issues, I seem to work best with issues related to mood (anger, anxiety, bipolar, depression), grief, LGBTQ+, life transitions, relationships, trauma, self-esteem, and stress management. If you are committed to examining the ways you have navigated the world, determined to learn healthier ways of coping with life, and have a willingness to try new things then together we will get you to a place where you thrive and not just survive.

My Background and Approach

As a therapist with over 30 years of experience I know that investing in oneself takes time and effort but also that the outcome is well worth the commitment. I am comfortable working with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and quickly create a warm, accepting, and safe environment in which you can explore the issues impeding your life. I will encourage you to identify your strengths, engage in self-care, and establish a balanced life as we work together to replace unhealthy thought processes and behaviors with ones that allow you to create happiness in the relationships and life that surround you as well as find peace within yourself. Together we will chart a path toward the life you want and deserve.

I believe that sunrise at the beach is a magical time and place. I believe in the power of laughter and being with people who get my weird sense of humor. I believe it is impossible for me to pick my favorite quote by Maya Angelou. I believe that photography is the best way to quiet my mind. I believe that family is defined not by shared DNA but by shared values and memories. I believe it is important to make time for what and who is important to you. I believe that taking time for yourself is the only way to not lose yourself. I believe that you are worthy of a contented life.
