Accepting Clients

There are so many ways to begin this, right? Well, here I am, just another clinician. I'll take the steps with you. Take the shot.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rochester, NY

About My Clients

I tend to think of clients like my tattoos, each are customized and they have their own issues they bring to the table. I work with people who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma for the most part. We discuss a lot about intergenerational communication patterns, and how those impact someone now. I meet someone where they are. Working with people in the LGBTQ+ community is a passion of mine, and working with youth is always a treat.

My Background and Approach

Client centered practice is my starting point. I provide tools based on what a client's needs and wants are. Emotion regulation, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and boundary setting are daily components of my therapeutic practice. Every session starts with intake, and using skills to help someone understand how they are feeling and what they are feeling, then connecting it to their other issues they are presenting. We build a strong base so that you are able to use skills outside of sessions. I use different things in my office, like fidgets and visual aids, to help the therapeutic environment be relaxing. I believe in decolonizing therapy, so we check in consistently if things are making sense or if approaches could be different for you the client.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am part of the LGBTQ+ community.
