Struggling with identifying why you have the thought patterns, reoccurring thoughts, interpersonal relations and experiences that you do? Seeking light in the darkness of your mind can be a discouraging and intimidating journey. However, you don't have to travel along this journey alone! I will assist you in exploring the "why" regarding your personal experiences, setting and obtaining goals, and successfully dealing with your mental health!
My Background and Approach
I received a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a masters degree in psychological services from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. I started my early career in mental health working within an inpatient facility and quickly fell in love with being able to serve an array of individuals struggling with their mental health. I began recognizing the importance of treating the whole person in order for individuals to meet their goals and effectively cope with life's stressors. Through a holistic approach I focus on what makes you, YOU! I am inquisitive and enjoy knowing the "why", therefore I often find myself using shadow work to help clients better understand hidden parts of their personality that may be hindering them from achieving their goals and struggling to reach contentment within their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an open-minded person who loves animals and the outdoors! I currently have a service/therapy dog in training, in the hopes to be able to incorporate the emotional support offered by animals into my therapy practice. I have a background with working with the LBGTQ+ community, minority groups, and adolescents.
