About My Clients
I work with individuals facing complex mental health challenges who need both medication management and therapeutic support. You might be struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or other conditions that haven't responded to therapy alone. Perhaps you've been hospitalized or visited emergency rooms for mental health crises and need ongoing psychiatric care. You understand that mental and physical health are connected and want a provider who sees the whole picture.
My Background and Approach
As a board-certified PMHNP-BC with my Master's from Fairfield University, I bring extensive clinical experience from prestigious hospitals including Georgetown University Hospital, Yale New Haven Hospital's inpatient psychiatric unit, and Stamford Hospital's psychiatric consult-liaison team. This diverse background means I understand mental health across all settings—from emergency crises to long-term outpatient care. My neurology experience gives me unique insight into the mind-body connection, helping you receive more comprehensive care. I provide evidence-based medication management combined with therapeutic support, ensuring you get both the medical expertise and emotional understanding you deserve. My approach centers on active listening, building trust, and respecting your individual journey toward healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the power of understanding and connection in healing. Having worked in emergency psychiatric settings, I've seen firsthand how mental health stigma can prevent people from getting the care they need. I'm passionate about breaking down these barriers and ensuring everyone has access to compassionate, judgment-free mental health care. The mind-body connection isn't just my professional specialty—it's something I live by. Outside of work, I stay active playing soccer and traveling, which keeps me grounded and reminds me of the importance of balance in life. I share my home with my dog, who teaches me daily about unconditional acceptance and presence. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are in your mental health journey, whether you're in crisis or working toward long-term wellness. Everyone deserves to be heard, respected, and supported.
