Up to 78% of people diagnosed with depression have an undiagnosed medical condition contributing to or causing their symptoms. These are the clients I specialize in. If you have had an evidence based treatment for depression, perhaps tried an antidepressant, or maybe several and your depression came back, I’m likely to be very helpful to you. I’m happy to work with your treating physician or current therapist as well.

Psychotherapy can help people manage chronic pain better. It helps reduce the focus on intractable pain, catastrophic thoughts, and debilitating beliefs that can keep you stuck and miserable. We connect people to state-of-the-art treatments for intractable pain. We can assist with disability and accommodations.

I treat anxiety in people of all ages. From post-traumatic stress, to OCD, and more general forms of anxiety and panic, I can help you lessen your symptoms. If your symptoms are caused by a medical condition I can help you collect data to assist your physician to reach a correct diagnosis.

I’m a professional fine artist. In addition to water color, pen and ink, pencil, and acrylic I also use LEGOs as part of a wide variety of art and play therapy with older adolescents and adults.

I have many years of experience in working with art and play with children, adolescents and adults. I have sand trays, puppets, clay, and other media to work with for people wanting non-verbal or augmented therapy.

CBT is my go-to treatment modality for basic anxiety and depression. I expect improvement within a few sessions and significant improvement within 4 to 6 weeks. If improvement is not present within the first few sessions, then it’s likely another condition that looks like anxiety or depression, but is more often medical in nature.

I’ve completed three post-doctoral fellowships-one in forensics, one in neuropsychology, and one in medical psychology. I can test from preterm birth to age 74. I provide testing for accommodations, disability, immigration, and personal injury, in addition to general psychological, personality, and cognitive/intellectual evaluations.
