About My Clients
I most enjoy working with folks who are queer, trans, gender expansive, neurodivergent or bicultural. My clients are often navigating trauma, dissociation, relationship concerns, identity, substance use or big life transitions. They may begin therapy wanting to explore difficult childhood experiences, understand different versions of themselves or feel more connected to their bodies. Many describe feeling braver, less overwhelmed and more comfortable taking up space following our time together.
My Background and Approach
Sessions together might look like practicing slowing down, revisiting old narratives, and building self-compassion. We may explore how trauma impacts your brain and body, and begin working toward expanding your window of tolerance. I may encourage you to notice what is, or isn’t, happening in your body, and reflect on what might feel safer about staying in your head. I approach therapy with care and collaboration, aiming to co-create a space that feels relational and deeply human. I often integrate creative and body-based approaches. There’s never any expectation to make eye contact or talk the whole time. And I’m happy to sit on the floor, play with fidgets and use extended metaphors to help you make sense of things. Therapy is hard and connecting with a new therapist can feel overwhelming. If it sounds like we could be a good fit, or you have any questions, I hope that you’ll reach out. I would love to learn more about you and explore what it might look like to work together.
