About My Clients
My clients come to me when they feel that challenges are exceeding their resources for managing them. They come to me for a space where they can be “heard” without judgment, identify, enable and add to these strengths to achieve their goals. My clients are very diverse as individuals and in their life circumstance. They come to me to better understand themselves and the world in which they live and for the tools to better navigate it.
My Background and Approach
I’ve assisted over 9,000 very diverse clients. Clients include the homeless, professionals, gender identity spectrum, veterans, various intellectual levels, H.S., college, and graduate students, seniors age 65 +, outpatient, residential and hospital settings, private office settings, college and university settings, community mental health clinics and from their homes via telehealth. Therapy goals are typically achieved in a brief (6-16 sessions) treatment format. The process involves identifying needs, setting goals, developing a plan to achieve them, and regular supportive feedback throughout the process. Each person’s uniqueness is important at all stages as we apply Motivational Interviews, Evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Meditation, Dreamwork, Trauma-Informed practices, Affect-Awareness and Expression training, Assertiveness Training, healthy boundaries, etc.
