About My Clients
I work with adults who feel emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, or stretched thin by work, family, and relationship demands. Many of my clients struggle with setting boundaries, managing stress, navigating grief or life transitions, and feeling disconnected from themselves. They are often seeking a supportive, culturally responsive space to better understand their emotions, reduce anxiety, and develop healthier coping strategies.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the founder of C.A.L.M.A. – Center for Emotional Awareness, Self-Acceptance, and Growth. I provide virtual therapy to adults residing in Florida, offering a supportive and culturally responsive space to explore emotional challenges and life transitions. My clinical approach is integrative and person-centered, combining emotional awareness, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies. I help clients better understand their emotional responses, reduce anxiety and emotional overwhelm, and develop healthier boundaries and relationships. I have experience working with adults facing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, and challenges related to self-worth and decision-making. My goal is not only symptom relief, but helping clients build insight, emotional regulation, and sustainable tools that support long-term well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel seen, heard, and respected. I value authenticity, emotional honesty, and cultural sensitivity, and I strive to create a therapeutic relationship based on trust and collaboration. I am passionate about helping clients reconnect with themselves, challenge self-critical narratives, and make decisions that align with their values rather than fear or external pressure. I strongly believe that emotional struggles are not a sign of weakness, but a signal that something meaningful needs attention and care. I am committed to providing affirming and inclusive care, respecting each client’s unique identity, background, and lived experience.
