About My Clients
My door is open to anyone that is willing to step through it with an open mind and heart. I have specific training and perspective in the following areas: addiction, relationship difficulties, infidelity, healing from trauma, struggling with racism and racialized trauma, and anger management. I also have connected well with cis gender men that have never been in therapy and/or with couples or partners struggling to help their cis male partners open up and have emotional availability.
My Background and Approach
Whether you are facing personal struggles, relationship difficulties, or just feeling overwhelmed, I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your feelings and thoughts. I use a trauma-informed, solution-focused, and strength-based approach, recognizing that our experiences, challenges, and strengths shape who we are. I also integrate an understanding of the impact of race, gender, and sexuality on our mental health. My goal is to help you build resilience, improve your relationships, and find a sense of peace and purpose. I am dedicated to helping you reach your goals and will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your unique situation, focusing on your strengths and resources to help you overcome challenges and find solutions. Everyone has the capacity to heal and grow, and I am honored to be a part of that journey. Contact me today to schedule your first appointment and take the first step towards a happier, healthier life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a Brown Chicano. I have lived in different areas in the Western US and I know first hand what it feels like to be treated differently because of who I am. I also acknowledge that every other identity I hold is one of privilege (cis male, hetero, able bodies, college educated, etc..). I think the intersection of our identities matter and I am happy to bring this to our sessions. I have seen some progress, but we are not close to equity, and I have spent time in the streets protesting for black lives matter and other racial equity causes.
