About My Clients
Have you experienced a loss that is keeping you stuck and unable to enjoy a fulfilling life? Are you desiring more peace? Taking the first step towards counseling can feel difficult and takes courage. I'll be here with you. I will provide a safe space to grieve your loss or life transitions. Together we will explore the areas that are keeping you stuck and begin to move past those hard places. Without judgment, I combine compassion and insight in a safe and warm environment.
My Background and Approach
My theoretical approach is attachment based, meaning I see the importance and impact of interpersonal relationships between humans. Through exploration, curiosity, and insight we will seek to make sense of where the issues began and how they can be healed. I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important piece to real and lasting changes. Together we would notice patterns and learn different ways to relate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Although I treat a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, and women's issues, I have special interest with grieving the death of a loved one, life transitions after loss, and loss of all types ( loss of identity, loss of safety or security). I have been a part of New Hope Grief Support Community in Long Beach, volunteering for a many different events including family camp, facilitating grief groups for children in public school setting, and other fundraising events. I have a heart for those who are grieving.
