About My Clients
You are more than what you have survived. More than any identity or diagnosis could contain. People often seek me out when looking for a therapist who does not pathologize difference. Queer and neurodivergent misfits, nerds, and radicals are likely to resonate with me. I effort to cultivate a safe-enough refuge for those who have experienced harm in interpersonal relationships, religion, and institutions, including prior therapies.
My Background and Approach
Everyone (child and adult) deserves to have their differences and ways of perceiving the world respected. I arrive with an ear tuned to the relational, as well as to sociopolitical material and psychic realities. I work with people who have survived sexual violence, including incest and childhood sexual abuse. It takes determination to embark upon a path of re-visioning the past. I respect the grit and brilliance of your survival and what it takes to risk trusting another person after being harmed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Relationship is the heart of my work as a therapist. I show up with consistency, as authentic and relatable, embodying a strong ethics of care. I listen for the spoken and the unspeakable. Together we work to loosen the grip of the past and carve out more space for you in the present.
