Licensed Master of Social Work in Garden City, NY

About My Clients

I work best with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families who value practical, structured, collaborative support. Clients may be navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, family or relationship conflict, executive-function challenges, neurodivergence, self-esteem, trauma, grief, life transitions, or safety concerns. I especially connect with people who benefit from clear language, concrete strategies, visual tools, and skills they can use outside therapy.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with an MSW from Stony Brook University and formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My experience spans outpatient behavioral health, private practice, school-based and developmental supports, early intervention, nursing-home care, vocational and independent-living services, coaching, and work with neurodivergent populations across the lifespan. My clinical style is structured, collaborative, and practical. I use CBT, trauma-informed care, visual and concrete interventions, safety planning, psychoeducation, and skills-based strategies to help clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, improve communication, strengthen decision-making, and build greater independence. Treatment is individualized to the client’s developmental level, strengths, learning style, family system, and goals. I aim to make therapy understandable, usable, and connected to real-life situations rather than limited to insight alone.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe effective therapy should respect the whole person: their strengths, history, culture, relationships, neurotype, values, and right to make informed choices about their life. I value autonomy, dignity, accountability, inclusion, and practical access to support, and I work to create a space where clients can be understood without being reduced to a diagnosis. I believe meaningful growth comes from combining insight with action, and that support should be clear, honest, and useful in everyday life. Outside of clinical work, I volunteer with grief-focused programs and participate in nonprofit and charitable service. These experiences shape how I think about resilience, loss, belonging, and reliable support. I also value neurodiversity-affirming care and approach differences in communication, learning, and behavior with curiosity rather than assumption. My goal is to meet clients with respect, transparency, and compassion while helping them build skills that fit their lives.
