About My Clients
Maraya works with individuals who may feel overwhelmed by daily stress, moving through life on autopilot, or noticing a growing disconnect from their own needs and emotions. Maraya supports clients who are often trying to navigate responsibilities while quietly wondering why everything feels so heavy. Maraya focuses on rebuilding a sense of inner steadiness and help find a manageable sense of calm and reconnection.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, supporting adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and the quiet experience of self-loss. My work is grounded in creating a space where you can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way. I take a collaborative, down-to-earth approach to therapy, meeting you where you are without pressure or judgment. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and narrative therapy to help you better understand your patterns, make space for difficult emotions, and begin reshaping the stories you carry about yourself. I believe growth doesn’t have to be overwhelming and small, intentional steps can lead to meaningful change over time. Together, we focus on helping you feel more aligned, empowered, and present in your life, one percent at a time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are not linear. We grow, pause, repeat patterns, and evolve in ways that don’t always make sense at first. Change isn’t a straight path, and it doesn’t have to be. I view setbacks as part of the process, not proof that something is wrong. My work is rooted in the belief that you are not broken, but responding in the best way you know how with the tools you’ve had. Therapy becomes a space to build awareness, reconnect with your values, and create more intentional choices over time. I value honesty, curiosity, and compassion, and I believe meaningful change happens in small, consistent steps rather than sudden breakthroughs. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin but you just have to be willing to take one step forward, even if it’s only one percent.
