About My Clients
Maybe you overthink everything, feel overwhelmed by emotions, or get stuck in patterns you don't understand. Maybe you're hard on yourself, carry shame about parts of your story, or worry that being fully yourself will change how others see you. You might put others first, struggle to express what you need, or find yourself having the same arguments in your relationships. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, & families navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I hold a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary and work as a pre-licensed therapist under the supervision of Christina Brasel, LMFT. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, and families, and I bring a relational perspective to understanding how our experiences and relationships shape us. I believe therapy is about more than managing symptoms or trying to fix what's wrong. It's an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, recognize patterns that may no longer be serving you, and explore new ways of relating to yourself and others. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I bring curiosity, compassion, and honesty into our work, making space for difficult experiences, including shame and self-criticism, without judgment. You don't have to have the right words or know exactly what you need. We'll work together to figure that out at a pace that feels manageable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you can be doing your best and still be struggling. You can understand where your patterns come from and still find them difficult to change. You can love the people in your life and still feel hurt, frustrated, or disconnected from them. These experiences don't make you broken; they make you human. I value courage, curiosity, creativity, and the willingness to be honest with ourselves. I believe growth doesn't require having everything figured out or getting it right all the time. Sometimes it starts with slowing down, asking different questions, or allowing yourself to acknowledge something you've been carrying for a long time. I want therapy to be a space where you can bring your whole self, explore what matters to you, and feel supported as you figure out what comes next.
