About My Clients

You are in search of healing for your soul. Perhaps life is far from what you imagined it would be, and you need help finding yourself again. Heartbreaking life events have left you questioning who you are, what you value. You've tried numbing or distracting yourself from your pain, avoiding thinking about it, and outright denying it exists, yet none of it has worked. You feel ready to try something different. My clients often value self-growth, truth, insight, and are deep thinkers.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are struggling with issues related to religion and spirituality, relationships, and finding their identity. My emphasis is on creating a safe space for you to heal in the context of our relationship. I believe healing begins with acknowledging our pain points for what they are and choosing to grow through the pain. My approach emphasizes getting to the root of the problem and working our way up to healing. I also work with couples who are struggling with communication and intimacy, perhaps due to infidelity or individual histories that have caused challenges in the relationship. Together, we can begin to unpack some of the pain points that have felt too charged to even talk about.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I identify as a 2nd generation, Korean American female from a multicultural background. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, grew up in Koreatown, Los Angeles, and went to UC Berkeley for college where my soul searching began. College and post college life is where I found the freedom to begin questioning the neatly packaged narratives of how to live a "good life” that were handed down to me from those I loved and respected. My own journey to finding freedom from perfectionism, people pleasing, and fear is what led me to become a therapist. I am also currently a pastor at my church and have 8 years of various ministry experience. My personal faith journey has led me to view spirituality and religion like relationships, as a complex entity that has the potential to both hurt and heal us. My faith helps ground me in the work I do as a therapist, but does not limit the kinds of clients I welcome. My doors are open to people of all faiths, identities, orientations, and backgrounds.
