You're questioning your ideas around gender, sexuality, your sexual history, polyamory, kink, or sex work. Maybe you sought reproductive care and need to process your feelings and experience. You might want to process your sexual history or deal with trauma you've experienced. You might be dealing with some internalized shame because of societal stigmas. You’d like to reclaim your identity, take back your power, and get back to being the bad bitch you know you can be.
My Background and Approach
I lean heavily on my intersectional feminist lens and focus on empowering you to make choices in your life that put YOU first. I believe that there are structural and institutional power imbalances that we cannot ignore and that these imbalances often carry over into our personal lives and impact our general well-being. We will work collaboratively to address whatever issues you might be struggling with and determine the best ways to approach your problems. Let's figure out what coping skills work best for you and find ways to implement them in your life! Maybe you like to read so bibliotherapy is most helpful for you. Like music? We can make emotion-based playlists! Active on TikTok? Show me the videos that speak to you and let's talk about why they had such an impact. Have a knack for art? Let's leverage that as a coping skill, too! I don't think the same standard coping skills work for everyone, so I use out-of-the-box thinking to collaborate with you to find what suits YOU best.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I prioritize creating a welcoming space for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I am body, sex, and kink-positive. I believe in disrupting power imbalances and creating equal relationships in the counseling atmosphere. I’m married and a mom to a college-age human. I have 4 dogs and I enjoy gardening (especially herbs!) and reading.
