About My Clients
Have you been carrying anxiety, burnout, or overwhelm for so long that it feels like your body can’t fully settle? Maybe you’re tired of pushing through or masking. I support teens and adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, depression, grief, identity exploration, chronic stress, and the mind-body impact of trauma and chronic illness. My work is culturally humble and affirming, honoring your lived experience and the systems that have shaped it, moving at your pace with warmth and safety.
My Background and Approach
The support I offer comes from years of walking alongside people through real, tender, and complicated seasons of life—not only in therapy spaces, but across inpatient psychiatry, pediatrics, hospice, oncology, schools, disability services, and case management. I’m a Resident in Counseling (LPC-R) in Virginia, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Registered Nurse (PMH-RN). This background helps me hold a whole-person view of healing—honoring both emotional experience and the ways stress and trauma can live in the body. In our work together, my hope is that you feel deeply met: with warmth, respect, and steady support. We’ll take things at a pace that feels safe and manageable, building practical skills while also creating space for your story to unfold without judgment. I draw from evidence-based approaches through a trauma-informed, culturally humble, nervous system–aware lens—always tailoring our work to what matters most to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is possible, even when it feels far away. I don’t believe you are “broken” or need to be fixed—I believe your symptoms make sense in the context of what you’ve lived through, what you’ve carried, and what your nervous system has had to do to protect you. I also believe regulation and connection can be profoundly healing. When the nervous system feels supported, we often gain more access to clarity, choice, and self-compassion. At the heart of my work is a simple truth: you are inherently worthy. Simply because you exist. You deserve to be met with warmth, respect, and care in your full humanity—your struggles, your hopes, your differences, and your healing. And on a more personal note, I’m happiest outdoors or near water (even a puddle counts), and I won’t judge you for whatever brings you comfort. I’m committed to inclusive, affirming care, and you are welcome here exactly as you are. I offer a free 30-minute consultation, and I’d be honored to meet you there.
