About My Clients
I work with both adults and youth who are overwhelmed, depressed or have experienced trauma/shock in their life, couples/families who have trouble communicating with each other and out of sync. People who find it hard to move on due to relationship issues, career stress, grief, challenges in parenting, adoption or if you are a first/Sec. generation american trying to negotiate between two cultures. My role is to increase awareness and help with effective coping strategies.
My Background and Approach
My main specialty is working with all kinds of trauma. My style is fluid, non-judgmental, active and very present in the sessions. I use integrative methods like mindfullness and somatic techniques like Brainspotting, Tapping (EFT), Internal Family System (IFS) in combination with CBT and depth psychology (Jungian). I also enjoy working with couple's using emotional focused techniques and Gottman. My main goal as a therapist is to encourage my clients to live life to their fullest.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I frequently include the body (somatic) and breath in the healing process. Also, I've an utmost respect for the power of the unconscious in guiding us - so welcome dream analysis and any spiritual dimension clients brings to session. I enjoy working with people of different ethnicities, culture, race, sexuality, etc.
