About My Clients
My client wears a mask daily. You own your life and still consider all others first, yet feel hollow, afraid and at times burned out. Seasons shift, relationships collide and you sense a desire to change. Therapy with me is collaborative and focuses on helping you build a life that actually feels like yours. One where your shoulders relax, your breath deepens, and the laughter returns. One step at a time. One day at a time.
My Background and Approach
I understand firsthand how disorienting it can feel when faith, identity, and relationships collide and how powerful it can be to rebuild from that place with the right help. My personal story includes divorce, grief and loss, and a loved one's addiction journey. I believe finding the right support and connection can help create space to make the best decisions for you to move forward. My background is in ministry to women and pastoral care. This included leading support groups for different seasons of life and encouraging connection and meaning to enhance faith. I believe therapy works best when co-created and at times can be humorous, creative and when necessary hard. Yet the hard doesn't have be done alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When you help a woman, you help a family and help a generation! Offering support to others has been a life long endeavor, yet, working with women in differing seasons has always given me great joy and perspective. It is other women that have given me the greatest support whether personal or professional. My current volunteer and membership commitments include the Genesis Women's Shelter Board / Alliance, Membership in a local Methodist congregation, National Sorority, and Women's Council of the Dallas Arboretum, and Various Al-Anon Groups. In my down time I like to create with my hands; garden, cook, needlework, and read.
