Accepting Clients

Hi! My name is Mallory, and I specialize in helping clients live a valued life with OCD, ARFID, and anxiety in an inclusive space.

About My Clients

Is your life shrinking because of intrusive thoughts, overwhelming anxiety, or avoidance? Are you a parent, confused and needing support for your child or teen with their own anxiety behaviors? Maybe you are looking for a counselor that prioritizes holistic care; welcoming all adults, children, and teens, regardless of cultural background, faith, or identity. I offer a warm, collaborative, and laid-back approach.

My Background and Approach

Our work will be practical, values-driven, and focused on meaningful change. My foundation for all clients is a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and CBT/DBT-informed strategies to build skills and live in alignment with your values, along with specialized treatments such as ERP and ICBT for OCD, CBT-AR for ARFID, and SPACE (Supporting Parents of Anxious Childhood Emotions). Your experience will be honored in every session. For kids and teens, I provide interactive sessions for the client and specific caregiver sessions as well. I also enjoy providing therapy to clients in helping professions or in a caregiving role. We will focus on your own wellness so you may continue serving those in your care. I welcome clients from all cultural backgrounds, faith/spiritual backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I integrate faith and spirituality into treatment only as requested and defined by the client.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I bring my own lived experience with OCD into sessions every day. This means I don't just know the skills—I know what it feels like to sit across from a therapist, implement these same skills in my own life, and face your worst fears daily outside of session. Additionally, my background as a Registered Nurse and caregiver gives me a unique lens for supporting helping professionals and caregivers—clients who often prioritize others' well-being over their own. I'm a learner through and through, enjoying listening to human stories, seeking to understand those I do not agree with, reading all the nonfiction I can find, and traveling to new places. I am part of the chronic illness community and value my time given to advocate for opportunities for all in workplaces and our communities. I also lead a Special Interest Group through the International OCD Foundation. I am queer-allied and racial justice allied.
