About My Clients
I have clinical experience working with many different ages and presenting issues. I have worked in the in-patient setting, facilitating family therapy in the home, and at a community mental health agency. My primary areas of focus have been family dynamics, depression, anxiety, anger, phase of life stressors, and attachment.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. My goal is to be a logical and fair resource that supports my clients and gives them the tools to manage their own circumstances. I believe in the client’s ability to utilize therapy in ways that feel most necessary to them. I encourage setting goals and I believe every client has the ability and inner means to optimize their lived experience. I strive to create a safe and calm environment that provides an outlet for clients, where they can feel equipped and secure in dealing with whatever life throws at them. Depending upon the specific needs of the client and the session, I engage in many different counseling strategies. I most often start with Client-Centered Therapy or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). When working with children and families, I often start with and build off of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).

Starting something new can be scary and exciting. We will work together to make sure you feel comfortable, seen, and understood. My goal is to build your confidence in yourself and your relationships. I want to be a safe and secure outlet for your goals.
