About My Clients
You may be feeling unfulfilled or overwhelmed, or maybe you are beating up on yourself with thoughts that you are a failure and to blame for where you are now. Many of my clients are people who are ‘new’ to therapy, although they are not new to pain. Whether you have experienced neglect or abuse, are navigating major life changes or grieving a loss, or just struggling managing your emotions, I work with the clients who feel unworthy of love or struggle to feel compassion for themselves.
My Background and Approach
Therapy with me helps that part of you finally feel seen and heard. It’s a safe space for you to reflect on what’s happened in your life that led you to your current challenges. Using a variety of techniques that are evidence-based and mindful-centered, you will learn how to express emotions, practice healthy boundaries, and develop better coping strategies. You are unique, & so will be our work together. Sessions may be structured at times as we focus on helping you address current concerns. At other times, we will be partners in exploring your past & putting the pieces of your life together, like a puzzle. We make sense of how you got to where you are now, which then helps you make choices for your future. I specialize in trauma and utilize an evidence based approach called EMDR. Additionally, I specialize in working with older adults, unpaid family caregivers aging, grief and loss.
