About My Clients
You are the expert of your life, I’m here to work with you and help you get to a place where things feel manageable. Therapy is hard, it’s messy, and you will have ups and downs. Some sessions may harder than others. But if you put in the time, the effort, and the work during the therapy process, you will absolutely see the progress. Therapy takes time, don’t expect for things to “magically” change in a day, two weeks, month etc. Remember I’m not an Avenger, I can’t speed up time.
My Background and Approach
I have more than 10yrs of experience working in social services. I have worked in the criminal justice system, child welfare, the housing sector, and mental health (community/non-profit and private practice). I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I specialize in trauma and intimate partner violence. I have experience working with mood disorders, bereavement, relationships, and family issues. I am an ally and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. I am a military family member and have more than three years of experience working directly with the military population and their family members. If you care about the more clinical stuff like my treatment modality, I bring a person-centered, trauma-informed approach using evidenced-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy. Therapy is not one size fit all so I may use other treatment modalities or evidenced-based practices. Feel free to ask more questions about this if you like!
