About My Clients
I'm passionate about helping adolescents and adults find healing, empowerment, growth, and meaning in their lives. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, relationship and attachment issues, life transitions, and grief. I'm especially dedicated to working with LGBTQIA+ and nonmonogamous clients.
My Background and Approach
I have a MSW in clinical social work from Washington University in St. Louis and am a Licensed Master Social Worker. It's important to me to be grounded in evidence-based practices that are shown to provide real benefits to clients. My approach is humanistic--I believe that all clients need a therapeutic experience tailored to their individual values, experiences, and style, and prefer to integrate approaches from psychodynamic, behavioral, and mindfulness-based schools to create those unique experiences. I bring warmth, humility, compassion, gentleness, and humor to my practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I practice from a standpoint committed to equality, justice, and radical acceptance. I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community and am committed to addressing the issues we face in a therapeutic environment.
