About My Clients
Have you spent a lot of your life searching for authenticity and belonging? Neurodivergence, low self-worth, trauma, or social anxiety can all play a role in these feelings. You may be great at appearing put together on the outside, while on the inside you're falling apart emotionally. You may also hold one or more marginalized identities, and be relieved to find you are fully welcome in therapy for all that you are. Joy and authenticity are still possible -- you are not alone.
My Background and Approach
I firmly belief that therapy will often be uncomfortable, but that it should always feel safe. Before change can occur, I believe you must first feel truly heard and seen. In the safety of our therapeutic relationship, we will seek to understand the challenges of the past, and prepare for those of the future. I will teach you evidence-based strategies. We will work towards increased self-compassion and self-worth and break free from chains of perfectionism. I help clients through seasons where anxiety or depression is increasing, their identity feels shaky, and relationship issues abound. My therapeutic process is collaborative, and while I am not afraid to challenge you, we will always move at a pace that feels appropriate to you. I am an inclusive, neurodiversity affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma informed, and HAES aligned therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that many struggles with mental health are birthed out of disconnection, and that genuine connection is healing to our brain and soul. I prioritize creating an inclusive therapeutic space, and spend time outside of work listening to, learning from, and advocating for people that have been marginalized and oppressed for being "different."
