My Background and Approach
I received a Master's in Social Work as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Trauma Studies from Adelphi University and utilize different modalities such as CBT, DBT, and The Gottman Method for couples counseling. For years I have worked in outpatient clinics in Brooklyn and Queens, helping individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, adjustment and marital/relationship issues. I have also worked at the Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect working with children and their families who survived all forms of abuse.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I provide a compassionate, safe space where together we can explore your challenges, better understand them and come up with strategies to set you up for success. Talk therapy is a vehicle for true change and I believe in utilizing several therapeutic modalities, and some humor, to ensure we find the best fit for you . Let's get you to where you want to be!
