About My Clients

Being from a big, diverse county of San Diego, I got to see a lot of the negatives of neglected mental health. There, is where I developed my passion to help those who seek help. These people range from individuals with anxiety, stress, trauma and so on, to couples wanting to establish better communication or reestablish a connection they once had. Being a black man, I hope to be someone who can help change the social/cultural narrative of not utilizing help when it is needed or wanted.

My Background and Approach

Coming from MNU, I was naturally trained in EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) and took a specialty class in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). During my internship I had supervisors who would share their own trainings and interventions with me. With a collection of different approaches, my main approach when it comes to individuals is helping them look for the answers they need, and provide and unbiased outlook on what they share in the session. The client has the answer to their problems, but that answer is clouded with emotions, perspectives, negative thoughts, stress and countless other factors. When it comes to couples, my main approach is helping stabling effective and healthy communication. With that, the couple can overcome just about any problem between them in a clear cut way.
