About My Clients
Do you feel like you're always translating yourself? Maybe for your family, your community, the world? Exhausted from code-switching, explaining, defending who you are? I know that weight. The fragmentation, the loneliness, the grief of not quite belonging anywhere. I offer a gentle space where you don't have to choose. All of you is welcome here.
My Background and Approach
I provide therapy through an intersectional feminist lens, first building a trusting relationship and teaching simple grounding skills to create a solid foundation for the deeper work. At times I use art as a jumping-off point for conversation. I was raised in Arab Muslim community, and use this experience to create space where context is understood without exhausting explanations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you already hold the answers you seek. My work is to witness you as you find them. I'm mixed (half Arab, half white), grew up in Dearborn, and lived through the 2006 war in Lebanon as a teen. I'm nonbinary and queer, and believe identity is rarely simple. Free Palestine. My cat Guppy hid from me for a year before she learned to trust. Now she claims every warm spot she finds. I want that for you: a place safe enough to finally belong, even if it's liminal.
