About My Clients
Life can be stressful and overwhelming. It makes sense to feel alone, lost, and unsure of what to do next. It's my job to help you find hope and direction in the midst of it all. I'm honored to help my clients find their way again and understand where they are and what they want from life. We will collaborate to find new ways of dealing with your life stressors, depression, anxiety, or chronic health conditions. I also help couples learn to talk and actually hear each other.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in helping folx navigate grief, depression, anxiety, chronic health conditions and relationship challenges. I use a variety of approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness. I'm trained in social work, which means I have education and experience in mental health and substance use disorder treatments, communication skills and creating a safe therapeutic relationship. I create safety and trust by being compassionate, supportive of unique client needs, trauma informed, anti-racist, open-minded, and body-positive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m passionate about organizing for causes that are important to me within my community, nurturing my garden/being in nature, live music, and learning. My colleagues say I'm warm, steady, gentle-but-clear, experienced, and non-judgmental. I welcome all, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, or marginalization.
