About My Clients
Do you feel that not many people understand what it is like to live in your body? Have you been feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed about how much you have to carry? Many of my clients identify as chronically ill/disabled, neurodiverse, and LGBTQIA+. Together we work towards healing our relationship with our body, with ourself, and with others. Using inclusive mind and body-based holistic approaches we can find more ease in every day life and uncover true resilience.
My Background and Approach
I have known since I was 10 years old that I wanted to be a therapist. I have always enjoyed deep connections with other people and am passionate about supporting those around me to find more ease and joy in life. I have faced my own adversity as someone who lives with chronic illness and neurodiversity, and although challenging at times, my experiences have given me a unique perspective and understanding of what it means to be human. I hold a Master's degree from Naropa University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in somatic counseling and dance/movement therapy. I utilize the body, creativity, and mindfulness in my therapeutic work and have training in trauma reprocessing modalities such as EMDR and IFS.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take a collaborative, culturally competent, strengths-based approach to my work with clients. I believe we all can benefit from working with a therapist to let go of past trauma and connect on a deeper level to our mind, body, and spirit. We all hold incredible wisdom and resilience, and sometimes we need support to tap into our inner genius. I am honored to support clients in their growth, healing and empowerment.
