About My Clients
Do you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in relationship patterns, or unsure how to support your child’s big emotions? I help individuals, couples, and families make sense of stress and disconnection—and take meaningful steps forward. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, healing from trauma, or seeking a more connected family life, I work collaboratively to help you find clarity, build on your strengths, and create lasting change.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (LGMFT) who works with individuals, couples, and families—including children ages six and up. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, and life transitions. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in narrative and solution-focused therapies. I previously worked as a school-based therapist and am trained in Theraplay (Level 1), which I integrate when working with children and caregivers. I also bring Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 and 2) into my work with couples to improve communication and connection. I aim to create a safe, inclusive space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you move toward your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be both culturally responsive and deeply human. As a Bangladeshi-American and Muslim woman, I’m passionate about increasing access to mental health care in communities that have often been overlooked or underserved. I offer therapy that honors your cultural values, identities, and lived experiences—whatever they may be. I strive to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and welcome clients from all backgrounds and family structures. Outside of therapy, I enjoy baking, watching sports, and finding new local coffee spots. I’m committed to creating a space where you feel safe to explore what matters most to you.
