About My Clients
I want to help you to know and trust yourself if you have faced alienation due to racial, gender, age, sexual, ability, or other minority identity stress, or if you have dissociative symptoms that interfere with your self-love and self-efficacy. Your identity is not dis-ease. Your individuality contains your strength. I am more concerned with how you feel and how your system is functioning than with a diagnosis.
My Background and Approach
Whole-person wellness can be compromised when we lose our connection to nature, or when personal or societal influences restrict access to deep trust and freedom. My therapeutic approach is feminist, meaning: I honor you as the expert on your wellness, acknowledge real problems in society that impact our well-being, and view our relationship as collaborative, important to each of us. I want to know about what influences you! I prefer to work within your belief system and hope to be with you as you perceive helpful connections between your self-expertise and our shared natural world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The work that most engages my creativity and compassion involves partnering with you, through your deepest growth and most intense challenges.
