About My Clients
My clients are high-functioning adults that struggle with reaching their personal and professional goals due to issues like anxiety, addiction, codependency, and toxic shame. Many of my clients have a history of complex trauma due to childhood emotional neglect. My clients range from young adults transitioning into the workforce to ambitious executives balancing work with family life. I have extensive training and experience working with the LGBTQI community and cultural diversity.
My Background and Approach
I consider a person's cultural, ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, gender identity, sexual orientation, and family-of-origin when developing a custom treatment plan. In the first phase of treatment we work on creating stability and safety in the client's life. The focus of treatment is on building coping skills to reduce anxiety and increase self-care. In the second phase of treatment, I utilize a mindful approach and guide my clients to an increased awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and experiences moment by moment. By living in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future, my clients can move into the second phase of treatment which focuses on processing trauma and reevaluating the client's personal narrative. The final phase of treatment focuses on building a healthy sense of self and creating meaningful social relationships.
