About My Clients
Many of my clients are high-functioning adults who appear to have it all together while quietly struggling with anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, or identity concerns. They are often the caretaker, achiever, or "strong one" for others. Together, we explore patterns, build self-awareness, and create meaningful change so they can reconnect with themselves and live more authentically.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Science in Applied Psychology with a specialization in Counseling from the University of Baltimore. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I believe many of the patterns we struggle with as adults were developed for a reason and often began as ways to adapt to earlier life experiences, relationships, or family dynamics. I integrate psychodynamic, attachment-focused, relational, and cognitive behavioral approaches to help clients better understand themselves while also developing practical tools for change. Together, we explore the connections between past experiences and present challenges, identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen emotional awareness, and build healthier ways of coping. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, empowered, and able to show up authentically as they move toward healing and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people make sense in the context of their experiences. Many of the patterns, beliefs, and coping strategies that create difficulties today once served an important purpose. Rather than focusing on what is "wrong" with you, I believe therapy is an opportunity to understand your story with curiosity and compassion. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, heard, and safe enough to explore their experiences honestly. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves, strengthen self-trust, and create meaningful change while honoring the resilience that helped them get this far.
