About My Clients
My ideal clients are children, teens, and young adults who may be struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm. They might have difficulty putting feelings into words and benefit from creative approaches like play, sand tray, or expressive activities. They are open to growth, curious about themselves, and willing to engage in a supportive, collaborative process toward healing and confidence.
My Background and Approach
I am a counseling intern with a background in art and theatre education, which deeply influences my therapeutic style. My work centers on creating a safe, supportive space where children, teens, and young adults feel seen and understood. I am trained in play therapy and sand tray techniques, and I integrate expressive interventions with evidence-based practices to support emotional regulation, self-esteem, and healthy coping skills. My approach is strengths-based, developmentally responsive, and collaborative. I believe clients grow best when they feel empowered and respected. Whether we are using creative expression or talk-based processing, my goal is to help clients build insight, resilience, and confidence as they navigate life’s challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has inherent worth and the capacity for growth. Symptoms are not flaws, but signals that deserve compassion and understanding. Healing begins when people feel safe, respected, and free from judgment. I view therapy as a collaborative process. Clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to offer guidance, structure, and support while honoring their autonomy. With children and teens especially, I believe growth happens through connection, creativity, and developmentally responsive care. I value expressive approaches because not everyone processes through words alone. Play, storytelling, and symbolic expression can create safe pathways to insight and resilience. Above all, I believe therapy is about empowerment — helping clients reconnect with their strengths and move forward with confidence.
