About My Clients
I view my clients as a whole person, which means I value, accept, and incorporate their complexity and their multiple life roles including family, cultural, and racial backgrounds into how I see them as a person. I prioritize building a safe relationship with clients and providing a non-judgmental space where one can conquer their feelings and explore, express, and be curious about themselves. I encourage collaboration with my clients so I can provide a tailor experience for them.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the mental health field for 5 years with a range of experiences in the mental health field — from residential behavioral health, community support teams for in-patient facilities, and providing counseling in a college setting. The populations I have worked with include college students, immigrants, couples, and older adults. I have expertise in working with those with Autism and ADHD at all age ranges. I have worked with people who have experience trauma (i.e. sexual, physical, childhood abuse). I also am currently being trained to provide EMDR Therapy.
