About My Clients
Before opening my private practice, I worked in Community Mental Health where I had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of mental health disorders. Through this experience, I found that my niche is working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families experiencing mental health and/or relationship issues such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, behavior problems, neurodiversity, coparenting, and school issues.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Antioch University Seattle with my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and since then have had three years of experience providing therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I was apart of a research team that provided structural family therapy to families with one or more children diagnosed with Autism. I have completed trainings for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with Families and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, and Behavior Problems. I work with my clients collaboratively to identify what approach is best for them and their family. I also bring in games and creative interventions to help therapy feel more engaging, especially for younger adolescents and children. When working with families, my goal is to help the family system find the most effective communication strategies and structure. I have experience working with custody issues, divorce, and parenting plans.
