About My Clients
Are you someone with a high threshold for stress, pressure, and busyness-perhaps even thriving in some aspects? Maybe others can't see it on the outside, but you feel the anxiety, depression, panic attacks, negative self-talk, unprocessed trauma, avoidance, and inability to be still. Even if you don't have "obvious impairments," you deserve a system of support to help you live and learn ways to do more than "just function."
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 88785), and received my Master of Social Worker from University of Southern California. I offer a non-pathologizing approach to address the issues you may be dealing with, using a blend of highly effective psychotherapy techniques. I practice co-regulation and mutuality in therapy. For some, it may be one of the first times they’ve experienced or been taught what it’s like for someone willing to “be with” their distress and model regulation. I mindfully use my own breath, affect tolerance and embodiment to reciprocally influence one another throughout therapy. I believe that therapist-client co-regulation comes before client self-regulation. In my practice, I like to use psycho-education to help you better understand the "why" behind what you might be experiencing or thinking. I draw from your insight, history, intergenerational trauma, and what you are feeling in your body, in order to build a unique roadmap to make lasting changes.
