About My Clients
Do you feel like you have been putting a bandaid on old wounds and traumas rather than getting to the core and healing them? If you are feeling stuck and wanting a new approach to healing, please contact me. My specialties include clients dealing with trauma, attachment/relational wounds, depression, anxiety, and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy), guided imagery, imagination, and mindfulness in my sessions. In my experience, these modalities allow clients to better process their traumas and expand their self-awareness in more effective, healing, and lasting ways. I believe our feelings, thoughts, and beliefs all interact and affect our behaviors. By processing our traumas and wounds from the root, we can create stable change and relief. I approach counseling as a collaborative process with you being the expert on your life and experiences. In this work, I find it extremely important to establish a sense of safety and support for you to express yourself. Please contact me so we can see how we can work together. I look forward to hearing from you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Providing care from an inclusive and multicultural lens is of the utmost importance to me. I welcome clients from all backgrounds. I make it a point to do my own self-reflection and seek further consultation, supervision, and therapy to ensure my own life experiences do not interfere in my ability to understand and provide quality care to my clients. In addition, I want our sessions to be a space of honest feedback. My aim is to establish safety and trust so that clients feel welcome to let me know if something makes them uncomfortable. I am providing a service to you, therefore I want you to feel open to expressing if that service could be more informed or fulfilled in a more productive way.
