About My Clients
I specialize in working with people who live with: chronic stress, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, burnout, insecure attachment, codependency, dysfunctional families, childhood trauma, addiction, substance use disorders (self or loved ones)
My Background and Approach
I approach each session with curiosity, compassion, and a desire for connection, and I encourage the same from my clients. I received training with the Somatic Experiencing Institute, and have over 700 hours of training in trauma-informed movement. Together we will uncover patterns in real time, which will lead to understanding, acceptance, action, and healing. We’ll never be able to escape hardship, but we can give ourselves proper support and care throughout our lives to widen our window of tolerance. I bring a somatic component to many of my sessions. I was a private meditation and movement educator for the past decade, and I use my knowledge of the body-mind connection in my therapy practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist because I want to hold space and help people heal. I am an adult child of alcoholics and have seen firsthand the transformative impact of therapy. I integrate several psychotherapeutic modalities to treat the whole person. CBT, Client-Centered Therapy, and Attachment combined with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, somatic therapy, and modern neuroscience give me and my client the ability to explore their inner and outer world from multiple perspectives.
