About My Clients
I am a Clinical Trainee on track for a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Therapy and specialize in attachment trauma, co-occurring disorders, coping skills, chronic illness, grief and loss. I do a lot of work with anxiety, perfectionism, and concerns around self-worth are common things that show up in these experiences.
My Background and Approach
I have an integrative and holistic approach to therapy. I find myself drawn to integrative practices depending on the kind of experiences you come to therapy with. I ground a lot of my sessions in mindfulness, balancing acceptance and change, empowerment, and unconditional positive regard. I draw from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Solution-Focused Therapy. When needed, I can bring in compassionate challenging to help you work towards your goals. Mainly, I see each individual as a unique human being and tailor my approach based on your presentation and what they feel they need and want out of therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am ready and prepared to discuss whatever you bring to session on any given day. I show up as an equal partner in the therapeutic relationship, meaning I will be there for support and guidance as you reach your goals and overall potential during your unique healing journey. I offer individual, DBT, and couple therapy. My priority in the therapeutic relationship is to make sure the environment is a safe space for you to be yourself and free from judgment. I value collaboration in the therapeutic process, and invite you to let me know if there is anything that would be helpful to add into our work together. I invite you to reach out and set up a meeting!
