About My Clients
My ideal clients are women who feel overwhelmed, overthink things, or struggle with putting everyone else first. You may be navigating grief, relationship stress, family conflict, a breakup, or a big life change and feel disconnected from yourself. I help you slow down, understand what’s keeping you stuck, and build confidence, boundaries, and self-trust. Together we’ll work on anxiety, self-esteem, and communication so you can feel more grounded, clear, and like yourself again.
My Background and Approach
My background includes work in child welfare, school social work, and hospice care, which has given me experience supporting people through grief, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, relational, and person-centered, meaning you set the pace and we focus on what matters most to you. I believe the relationship we build is a key part of healing. You should feel heard, understood, and never judged in this space. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps you notice unhelpful thought patterns, get unstuck from overthinking, and reconnect with what truly matters to you. We work together to build practical tools for managing anxiety, improving self-esteem, setting boundaries, and navigating everyday stress. Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in real life, not perfection. The goal is to help you feel more present, confident, and aligned with the life you want to live.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the social work value that every person has inherent dignity and worth. I approach therapy from a lens that honors your lived experience, your identity, and the unique story that has shaped who you are. I am committed to supporting social justice and creating a space where all identities feel seen, respected, and affirmed. I also see therapy as a space for advocacy. When needed, I will support you in identifying your needs, strengthening your voice, and navigating systems that may feel overwhelming or unfair. As a heterosexual white woman, I recognize that I will not always share or fully understand your lived experience. I hold that awareness with humility and use it to stay curious, open, and accountable in my work. I rely on ongoing learning, cultural humility, and evidence-based knowledge to show up in a way that is respectful and grounded in understanding.
