About My Clients
My goal as a counselor in training is to help clients who are on the journey to heal their relationship with their inner child and overall self-image. This includes unraveling the struggles of anxiety, depression, daily stressors and any big life changes. Identity exploration of any kind is something I am passionate about supporting clients through. My main goal is to offer support and clarity to clients who are approaching roadblocks in life and need a helping hand.
My Background and Approach
I have my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University. I completed a year long internship at Embodied Journeys Pyschotherapy. I spent two years completing my associateship at Accent Counseling in Bellingham, WA. I currently am working at Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center in Bellingham for in person OON clients, and seeing clients through insurance via Headway completely virtually.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer woman of color, I am passionate about support marginalized groups across the boards. As a counselor that means I am actively working at being as unbiased and culturally sensitive as I can be. It can be uncomfortable and difficult work at times, but each person in therapy deserves a counselor who is doing this work to acknowledge privilege and advocate for others. I look forward to working with clients from all walks life and backgrounds.
