About My Clients

I primarily work with adolescents, young adults, and parents including those dealing with recent deaths or life threatening diagnoses within the family. Previous clients have worked with me to process child and pregnancy loss, sibling loss, and parental loss. I have worked with those navigating complex grief. My clients often come to me reporting feeling "stuck," or "numb" following a significant life change or loss.

My Background and Approach

I work with my clients to improve their wellbeing through active processing, acknowledging where they may make change in their lives, and moving toward acceptance of unchangeable factors. I take a mind-body-spirit approach to counseling and believe that mental wellbeing is best achieved by addressing the whole person. I draw from person-centered, mindfulness, narrative, and acceptance and commitment theories.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am actively involved with expanding access to abortion in southern states. I believe that reproductive freedom positively benefits the mental and physical health of all community members.
