Bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over ten years of diversified experience in the psychological field in areas that include working with families, couples, and children. I am also internationally certified as a drug and alcohol addiction counselor.
My Background and Approach
I have earned my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from NOVA Southeastern University and my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University. I’ve gained my experience by providing direct client care, operating clinical programs, and providing oversight of clinical services. I have completed an extensive amount of trainings and have earned several certifications through the state. My professional abilities to provide effective services help contribute to the evolution of any individual and organization.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I don't discriminate against anyone and I provide a safe space for my clients to speak freely of the challenges they are living with.
