About My Clients

I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults in my office in Alameda and virtually. I enjoy working with clients who identify as LGBTQIA+ and/or queer, folks who are questioning and exploring their identities, and individuals who are going through transitions. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, sexuality and asexuality, attachment, and relationship issues.

My Background and Approach

I have a masters in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute, and I strive to practice from an anti-racist, anti-ableist, feminist, and health at every size stance. I believe therapy is a place in which you can be seen, honored, and valued as your full authentic self. Therapy is a place where you get to feel all emotions and gain compassion for yourself. My background working with children, adolescents, and families helps me identify attachment patterns. I work with you to better understand yourself and your relational foundations, while developing a stronger sense of compassion for yourself, and all that you have endured. As a queer person, I am familiar with the ways in which certain relationships are prioritized, and others are erased. I believe all relationships are meaningful, whether they are platonic, familial, collegial, romantic, and/or sexual, and that there is no hierarchy of relationship type. I approach all relationships with curiosity and care.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a therapist, I wholeheartedly believe in the power of relationships and the profound impact they have on our lives. I practice relationally through a trauma-informed lens, and weave psychodynamic and attachment theories into our work together. I am committed to fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and I do so by using warmth, compassion, humor, and curiosity. I am a strengths based therapist, and I believe that you are the expert of your own experience. Throughout our time together, I will embody unconditional positive regard for you, while also playing an active role to highlight themes and strengths I am noticing.
