My Background and Approach
I am a mental health practitioner with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am actively working towards gaining a LPCC. I have experience working with adults through inpatient and intensive outpatient settings. Person Centered, DBT, CBT, Solution Focused are therapeutic lenses I have practiced under. I have honed my skills in active listening, empathy, and assisting with problem-solving. I strive to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their emotions and concerns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that health is more than just the physical body. Balancing our physical health through nutrition and movement with mental health by validating our emotions and changing our behaviors leads to overall wellness. I think animals also have positive benefits towards our health as well. I am biased towards cats, yet appreciate all pets! I support the LGBTQIA+ community, Black Lives Matter, and Women's Rights.
