About My Clients
Do you struggle with anxiety, self doubt, or people pleasing? Caught in a constant chaotic pattern of “fight or flight” survival mode? Dealing with unresolved past traumas that continue to hurt you today? I can help you shift from surviving in this world to successfully thriving in your life and relationships.
My Background and Approach
My sessions are warm and comfortable and I aim to cultivate an accepting and safe environment. I help my clients to feel empowered to navigate their life with confidence, peace, and freedom. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an internationally recognized and evidence-based approach that I regularly utilize to treat a variety of problems and target unhelpful, critical self-talk, promote greater mindfulness, and, ultimately, offer clients a sense of relief and confidence. With EMDR therapy, we can reduce and eliminate disturbing symptoms in a shorter period and address recurring self-defeating patterns of behavior to help clients interrupt the constant chaotic pattern of existing in survival mode. I may additionally pull from other therapeutic lenses such as mindfulness-based interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Maddi believes in a holistic and collaborative approach to counseling in which traditional therapeutic interventions can be most effective when coupled with appropriate self-care and meaningful connection to others. It would be an honor to have the opportunity to learn of your unique story and work together to find relief from the pain you have been experiencing.
